Brainstorming the Magic Dancer

Remember that day Isa and I had an epiphany of working together? This was that day. Our artist friend, Luisa picked us up and we discovered this hole in the wall gem in Makati.

The name of the place is Satinka Naturals. Satinka means "Magic Dancer" and is also the name of the owner of the place. They really do bring the mountain to the city by providing this apothecary. They have all natural products ranging from personal care and even care for the home!

My personal favorites are the room and linen spray. It's so awesome that they even have leather balm and furniture polish. All-natural, all organic. Honestly, at my age now I love everything organic, green, and healthy!

Wanna know what else is awesome? They aren't just an apothecary. They sell food and drinks too. We aren't vegans but we do love their food. Especially being yogis, we appreciate places like this!

Below is a photo of the green smoothies we ordered. We enjoyed the one called Refresh. It has peppermint leaves, mango, and romaine lettuce. I believe it can be a meal on its own and it's just Php175. We also enjoyed the pasta. Entirely vegan. Not in picture is the homemade sagada yogurt with honey! That makes for a delightful dessert.

This is the second floor of Satinka. Furniture is made from bleached reclaimed wood. And decorated with interesting art pieces. They have actually even used this venue for poetry and music jams. The place is quite small so I can imagine getting to know a lot of interesting people here.

I love this little nook they created here. Lots of art and photographs.

Anyhow, if you're looking for a quiet place to chill out or do some work during the afternoon, this place would be it. There is free wifi and you can pretty much stay here the whole day. (As you can see Isa and Luisa busy on their phones :p) You can get very comfy here with all the pillows.

We came here during the afternoon. Spent all day brainstorming for this website. And as you can see, we ended up leaving when it was night time already. This is the facade of Satinka Naturals. I hope you will enjoy it as much as we did! <3
